What was it?
London Sport magazine (LS), the guide for active people, offers inspiration to those who want the most out of life in London. From fresh ideas such as playing Polo at Guards Polo Club and discovering the best City gyms, to more adventuresome weekend breaks (off-road driving in Iceland and kite-surfing in Morocco), LS inspires Londoners to make the most of their time outside the office. Whether an interview with a sporting hero or an article on fencing, there was something for everyone who wants to do more than just sit on the couch.
"Sport is about heroes. It’s about those we scream at and cheer on from the sidelines before we go out and imitate them on the sports pitch. Jonny Wilkinson is Britain’s quiet hero. Alongside Sir Steve Redgrave and Paula Radcliffe, he exemplifies all that is good in sport. When the time came for these media-shy celebrities to speak to the press LS was there, clinching the exclusive and stealing a march on the national press. Working with the country's top sports and travel writers London Sport consistently delivers exclusive, quality editorial. "
The magazine was published by Echo Publishing, an independent publishing company dedicated to delivering both unparalleled service and value to advertisers, and high quality editorial to readers. Echo was led by a small management team with significant experience in journalism, publishing, and building high growth businesses.
Launched in June 2003, with a print run of 40,000 copies, LS is distributed at leading City Institutions, owned by Hugh Laurie and other health and fitness clubs, four and five hotels, and selected bars and restaurants.
